would like your prospecting letter too. thanks chris!

  • Fred B Feb 8,2013 at 7:21 pm

I am interested in the prospecting letter as well.

In one of you recent emails you talked about using the phone in prospecting.
In some of your posts a while back in the LocalIncomeLab FB group you talked at
length about ‘auto-dialing’ to reach prospective customers. I would like to learn
more about this. Will you be talking about this in the local profit academy ?

The other issue I have is settling on a niche ( or vertical). So many choices. I am
probably over analyzing it. I was wondering if you talk more about this. The pros and cons
of various niches or what criteria to consider.

I am enjoying and learning a lot through posts. Keep it up.

Hi Chris, Talk about low hanging fruit!

I enjoyed seeing how you set up the Reputation Management offer to the local business, showing them the pain that they experience, and as you say, probably not even knowing it. There are so many business owners that are so busy doing what they do, that they have not checked on the Net on basic sites like you describe. Another site would be Google+ Local where people can leave reviews.

I would be interested in obtaining the letter you send as well.

    • Chris Beatty Feb 5,2013 at 3:57 pm

Ken, I agree buddy. There is all kinds of low hanging fruit out there! If we would all switch our focus and go after that, our businesses would do much better! I’ll get you a copy of the letter!

  • Ryan Popovic Feb 4,2013 at 7:16 pm

Great post, buddy. I’ll be checking out your post on niches next. In the meantime, I’d love a copy of your rep marketing letter. Thanks man! Keep up the good work.

  • Tony Feb 4,2013 at 6:25 pm

If a dentist has such a bad review as in this case study why would you want to work with him? I’ve been to several bad dentists that wanted to do unnecessary work and over charge me, a bad dentist deserves to have others know how poor their service is? In his case it looks like the assistant might need to be fired, lol.

    • Chris Beatty Feb 4,2013 at 6:33 pm

Hey Tony, you’re exactly right. Did you see the video I posted today? I actually went into detail about which ones you want to AVOID working with. For example if there are 10 reviews like this one and they are all horrible, you should just skip right past them. If it’s just a one off review, I would have a conversation with the business owner and get an explanation. When there is just one or two negative reviews, it may just be that they had a couple unhappy clients! Everyone in business will have SOME unhappy clients… unfortunately those are the ones who go online and share their experience!

      Thanks for sharing man!

    • Tony Feb 4,2013 at 7:18 pm

I see, makes sense as I hadn’t watched that newer one yet.

      • Chris Beatty Feb 4,2013 at 7:21 pm

No worries man… Check it out and thanks for listening to my ramblings πŸ˜‰

Automation and action are the only ways we’ve ever found to scale a project… (“preach it brother”)… Like your stuff!

    • Chris Beatty Feb 4,2013 at 6:27 pm

Hey Greg, you’re absolutely correct. Without those two things, there is no business! Not one you enjoy at least!

Thanks for the kind words. I’ll keep putting out good stuff for you guys!

  • Ted Feb 4,2013 at 2:54 pm

  • Thomas Feb 4,2013 at 5:08 am

Hi Chris.. great video on targeting prospects. Really appreciate you taking time to put it together.
Would love a copy of the letter you use.

Question: Honestly, do you get any flack from prospects for eluding to the fact their reputation
“SUCKS” ? I’ve never had the guts to use it that way. I guess my question is, does this letter actually get you the best results? Fair question right mate?
    Thanks again!!

    • Chris Beatty Feb 4,2013 at 5:13 am

Hey Thomas, thanks for the question. I’ve only had one person get mad about it and most are happy that I’m pointing it out to them and appreciate the honesty! I’ve found that a lot of these businesses had no idea that bad reviews like these were out there and they are eager to combat them with better reviews!

I’ll get you the letter shortly!

      Thanks again,

    • Thomas Feb 4,2013 at 4:24 pm

Thanks for the follow-up on my question. Appreciate your time!

      • Chris Beatty Feb 4,2013 at 6:24 pm

Anytime Thomas. Don’t ever hesitate to ask me a question for an honest answer!

Hi Chris thank for the grate strategy to get client for reputation management. Also if you can send me some information on how to deliver this service would be awesome. What is your LPA membership about ?

  • Brenda@SocialMediaHelp Feb 4,2013 at 3:01 am

Hey Chris, super cute blog! I’m all over low hanging fruit!

Reputation management is a tricky service because you need to make sure the reputation is worth saving!

PS I just had to share with you that I will never think of the word “try” the same way again…I spent the last two days watching rugby. It is a lot like football, but the scoring point is worth 5 points is called a “try.”

    • Chris Beatty Feb 4,2013 at 4:40 am

Hey Brenda… Good to know my blog is “Cute” πŸ™‚ Not sure if that’s what I was going for but I’ll take it! Certainly better than “Horrible Blog” or “Take Your Ugly Mug off the background” πŸ™‚

Your are right though….you want to make sure it’s not a client that is truly BAD. I think every business has unsatisfied customers, its just some get unlucky and have it plastered everywhere! Definitely good to do your homework first!

  • OfflineJediMaster Feb 3,2013 at 11:54 pm

I appreciate the information, and will you please send me a copy of the letter? Also looking forward to your LPA membership.

    Thank you,

    • Chris Beatty Feb 3,2013 at 11:57 pm

OJM… Thanks for the comment. Looking forward to helping you in the Academy also. I’ll get the letter out to everyone asap.

  • Kheng Feb 3,2013 at 11:33 pm

    Hey Chris,

This would really be useful to add to my services. I haven’t really looked into how it works. Do you recommend any good wso’s on reputation management? Would you be actually providing fake reviews for the clients? I understand you could probably push it down on google organic listings but I’m not sure about giving fake reviews.

Oh yeah…I would love a copy of that direct mail piece u were talking about in the video.

    • Chris Beatty Feb 4,2013 at 12:00 am

      Hey Kheng,

I’ll get you some good information about Reputation Marketing and I’ll email you this Prospecting letter that you can use.

As far as the service goes, you definitely DO NOT want to do fake reviews. Basically how “Ethical” reputation marketing works is you help a local business employ processes that encourage positive online reviews from their current customers. This can be done through a contest, hand out cards etc…. If done proactively you can actually prevent negative reviews from being posted online and instead have those sent to the business owner directly to take care of.

If someone is telling you to do fake reviews, they are not someone you should be taking advice from.

I hope that helps a little
